The client's brief is an open working space, a reception area and a seminar room for a not more than 5 staffs office, on a 1500sqft area at a top most floor of a 3 storey-shophouse in Kuala Lumpur.
The design is conceptualised based on a flying machine, a
jet plane, so to speak, that carries this relatively small but energetic young office to a new horizone of business opportunity.
The plane cuts through the space and divides it into several functional areas i.e. working space, reception area and seminar room; the silver-colour air plane further penetrates through a series of clouds-obstacles and barriers in life (Z-shaped sand-washed glass panels) , and thus opens up new spaces for business - working zone and entrance/reception zone.
During the construction period, the client requested to add a small attic for his temporary dwelling and therefore a new attic floor and staircase were added.
